      Firmware Flow

      1. Detect board, ArduPilot firmware, BRD_TYPE, telemetry port, and arm state.
      2. Back up all parameters and mission-critical state before any firmware change.
      3. Download or select the correct ArduPilot firmware package for this board and vehicle.
      4. Flash through USB or telemetry only when the bootloader path is supported.
      5. Wait for heartbeat, verify version, reload parameters, then run setup checklist.
